• Is your website working hard enough for you?
  • Do you feel like it could do with a spring clean?
  • Would you like to have your own blog, but don't know where to start?
  • Are you using social media effectively to grow your business?

My Philosophy

I believe that every business, regardless of size, should have a website.

I'm not talking about a flashy site with all sorts of bells and whistles, but a simple well-constructed website that provides the key information about the business or individual in a clear and easy-to-access fashion.

I am not a web designer - in that I do not 'design' websites. What I hope to do is to help people build websites that work hard, are simple to maintain and user friendly. I feel that too often people get so involved in the design or look of their site, that they lose sight of the purpose of the site. A website may look fantastic, but if the user isn't getting the information they want, then the site is failing.

In coding talk - I'm all about the XHTML rather than the CSS. Or in regular language, I'm all about substance over style. Not that I don't want every website to look great. I just want them to look great AND work fantastically.

"Double L Consulting performed triage on my website after I had spent too much money with another web designer. Jane, the owner, is no-nonsense, all common sense in her own professional work as well in website design. I counted on Jane to make my site a positive experience for potential clients. She understood my concept and got straight to the best organization of materials, functionalities and presentation. I highly recommend Jane; before venturing into one of the expensive web "concept" companies, let Double L Consulting be your website coach."
